Since 2016, the Rajyash Foundation has been working with a simple purpose. To care for people, protect nature, and support communities that need it the most. Our efforts in food rescue, animal welfare, education, and environmental care are driven by a deep belief that every act of kindness can spark lasting change.
With the spirit of we rise by lifting others, our team continues to bring hope and support to Ahmedabad and beyond. Join us as we work together to create a kinder and brighter tomorrow for all.
Our initiatives focus on uplifting lives, protecting nature, and supporting those in need.
At the Rajyash Foundation, we see every tree as a promise for the future. Through our yearly plantation drives, we work with volunteers, schools, and partner groups to plant at least one thousand trees across Ahmedabad each monsoon.
We also provide free plantation kits to children so they can learn to care for nature from an early age. These drives bring people together, build awareness, and encourage a shared sense of responsibility toward the environment.
With every sapling planted, we create a greener city and a stronger commitment to our earth. We welcome individuals and organisations to join us in shaping a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow.

At the Rajyash Foundation, we work to ensure that every child has the chance to learn. Our learning centres support the children of labourers at our project sites, helping them build a strong educational foundation.
We are developing a scholarship program for deserving students and provide stationery kits each year to hundreds of children across Ahmedabad. Through community awareness activities, we encourage families to prioritise education and inspire children to dream bigger.
Together, we are helping young minds grow and creating a brighter future for our communities.
At the Rajyash Foundation, we rescue and care for injured, abandoned, and motherless animals and birds. Our team responds to weekly rescue calls and provides medical support with experienced veterinarians.
Animals heal in our foster homes until they are ready for adoption, where we match them with responsible families. We also run daily feeding programs and provide mats to support stray animals.
Through awareness campaigns, school visits, and community engagement, we promote ethical pet care, sterilisation, and bird safety. Our goal is a compassionate community where all animals are protected and respected.
At the Rajyash Foundation, we believe no one should go to bed hungry. Launched in 2023, our Food Porter program tackles hunger and food waste while supporting local rickshaw and tempo drivers.
Each day, volunteers collect and distribute meals to around two hundred people, including homeless and daily wage workers. We also partner with families, restaurants, and event organisers to encourage food donations and raise awareness about hunger.
Food Porter ensures meals are safe and handled with care. Beyond nourishment, it brings hope to those in need and offers volunteers and donors a chance to make a real impact.
Every December, the Rajyash Foundation hosts Anand Mela, a day of games, music, dance, magic shows, and creative activities for children from government schools across Ahmedabad.
Our volunteers ensure a fun and memorable experience, bringing smiles to every child. Anand Mela also highlights the challenges faced by underprivileged communities, showing how compassion and collective effort can make a lasting difference.
Join us in spreading joy and creating unforgettable memories for these young hearts.
Beyond our main programs, the Rajyash Foundation carries out initiatives to support communities and the environment.
During uttarayan every year, our efforts focus on educating the public about the harmful effects of kite flying on wildlife particularly birds, which are often injured by sharp kite stings. We organize volunteer drives to collect discarded or dangerous kite string, preventing further harm. In 2024, we had established camp where people could bring injured birds for immediate care.
Birds requiring further treatment were promptly transported to hospitals, ensuring they receive the necessary medical attention in time. Through this initiative, we also managed to collect almost 500kg of kite string, significantly with the help of our volunteers and connected Paathshala. By educating the community about appropriate celebration, this activity not only saves countless bird lives but also makes sure that the joy of Uttarayan doesn’t come at the expense of our feathered friends.
During the intense summer heat in Ahmedabad, we launch our water pot distribution campaign, focusing on reaching schools across the city. Our goal is to educate students about the harsh conditions birds and animals face during the summer months and to encourage them to play an active role in alleviating their suffering. Through awareness sessions, we emphasize the importance of compassion and the need to protect these vulnerable creatures from dehydration.
As part of this initiative, we provide free earthen water pots to students and strategically place them in key locations throughout the city. These pots are regularly refilled by dedicated volunteers assigned to each region, ensuring a consistent supply of fresh water for the animals and birds in need. This simple yet impactful project not only quenches their thirst but also fosters a sense of responsibility and empathy within the community, highlighting the significance of kindness and resource sharing in times of extreme weather.
Our clothing distribution campaign is an ongoing, year-round initiative aimed at providing good-quality, wearable clothing to those in need. We collect gently used clothes from generous donors, as well as brand-new items, which is a truly heart-warming gesture of kindness. Before distributing the clothing, we carefully identify areas where the need is greatest, including impoverished neighbourhoods both within and outside Ahmedabad, ensuring that the aid reaches those who will benefit the most.
Our dedicated volunteers meticulously clean, sort, and pack the clothing to ensure it is ready for distribution. In addition to clothing, we also distribute essential items such as utensils, toys, and supplies for new born babies, addressing a broader spectrum of needs within these communities. This campaign promotes a culture of reuse and sharing within our community, encouraging others to contribute and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
Our plastic management initiative promotes the three Rs—reduce, reuse, and recycle—to minimise waste and encourage responsible habits in the community. We run awareness drives on cutting down single-use plastic and creatively repurposing discarded items.
During Uttarayan, we set up a special stall showcasing how plastic waste can be transformed into practical and creative products like planters, artificial flowers, seating setups, tables, a bridge, and even a dog house—all made from eco-bricks. These displays inspire people to see plastic as a resource rather than waste.
We also ensure our events follow sustainable practices by using eco-friendly or recycled materials for gifts and décor. Through these efforts, we aim to build a culture of innovation, environmental responsibility, and mindful living within the community.
In 2023, we launched our first charity fair to support NGOs and small businesses by providing a platform to showcase and sell their handmade products. Over two days, the event brought the community together through shopping, delicious food, and engaging activities, turning every purchase into an act of giving.
All proceeds were donated directly to the participating NGOs, helping them continue their impactful work and reach a wider audience. The fair also raised awareness about social causes, encouraged collaboration, and celebrated the spirit of social responsibility. It has become a platform that empowers communities, fosters meaningful connections, and inspires people to contribute to positive change.
The senior citizens in the assisted living facilities enjoy and benefit from our frequent visits. Our volunteers converse, play games, and engage in other activities with the elderly while spending valuable time with them. In addition, we arrange health examinations and supply necessary items.
These visits not only make the days of the elderly happier, but they also help to build relationships between generations. It’s a wonderful program that serves as a gentle reminder to us all of the value of showing respect and caring for our elderly and fostering happy and meaningful relationships.
